Cisco Bug: CSCvi61401 - WLC remote access failing after upgrade

Known Affected Releases
Symptom: - Upgrading WLC from 220.127.116.11 to 18.104.22.168 or even 22.214.171.124, but after installing the new code and rebooting the WLC, the controller is not accessible anymore in the new code (only over console and Service Port). - APs join (clients even connect), but can't SSH/TELNET or HTTP/HTTPS into the WLC. - We can ping the WLC from the network, but the WLC can't ping anything if we source the ping from the WLC itself, not even the gateway (learnt in WLC ARP table). - If we configure the WLC to boot from old image 126.96.36.199, issue goes away. - If we configure the WLC to boot from new image (188.8.131.52 or 184.108.40.206) again, issue comes back. Conditions: - Running specific configuration in the WLC and upgrading from old code 8.0 to 220.127.116.11 or even 18.104.22.168.
