Cisco Bug: CSCvi57039 - HSL floods Tunnel interface on top of Multilink interface with Netflow template packets

Last Modified

Aug 13, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco 3G Wireless WAN

Known Affected Releases

Everest-16.4.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Very high output rate seen on Tunnel interface.

R1(config)#do sh int tunn 100 | in rate
  Queueing strategy: fifo
  5 minute input rate 1000 bits/sec, 1 packets/sec
  5 minute output rate 16860000 bits/sec, 1931 packets/sec

A lot of Netflow template packets are sent just after HSL is enabled.

Conditions:
HSL is enabled and traffic is sent through a Tunnel interface which uses a Multilink interface as source interface.
This is just seen on routers with Multilink interfaces. The same configuration with Ethernet interfaces works fine.
