Cisco Bug: CSCvi55192 - jabber shows Shared meetings as well in meeting tab.
May 14, 2018
- Cisco Jabber for Windows
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Let's assume that we have 2 users A and B. User A creates a meeting with User C with name Test-meeting in outlook. Now for User B to see this meeting be it in his/her own outlook it has to shared by User A first. So now User A shares his/her calendar with User B . B can now see the meeting in his calendar if shared calendar check box is selected. Jabber as a client sends uses MAPI to retrieve Meeting info and in response all meetings in outlook will be received (including shared as the check box is selected). There is no way to differentiate between Shared and non-shared and hence the behavior. Change of presence status in B jabber client is also expected if A sharing calendar has a meeting. ++++++++ Jabber should either not show shared meetings in its meetings tab or have a switch to enable and disable this option. Conditions: jabber integrated with outlook with share calendar feature
