- Cisco 5900 Series Embedded Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When c5921 is launched without any configs and interface mappings, and if c5921 is accessed via virtual console (i.e., swrvcon) and if any cli is entered in swrvcon console then huge CPU spike is observed in both IOS and FP threads. For example, if "show version" is entered in swrvcon then IOS thread spikes upto 40% and FP thread spikes upto 25%. Due to this huge CPU spikes, voice call disruption and ping packet drops are observed in customer site. Conditions: CPU spike is observed only when c5921 console is taken via "swrvcon" application. Please note, CPU spike is observed in customer setup which uses KVM hypervisor, refer setup details "CMS_KVM_setup_details" attached to DDTS.
