Cisco Bug: CSCvi19832 - Gui enh - Display Interface Counters in ACI GUI

Last Modified

Sep 09, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)

Known Affected Releases

2.2(2e)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
For customers who are dependent on the APIC GUI to understand and manage their network, it would be helpful to have input/output/CRC error counts somewhere in the GUI so that they don't have to log into all their leaves/spines (which in large networks can prove tedious) to rule out a Layer 1 issue.

For customers who are incredibly reliant on the APIC GUI to help them diagnose their fabric, they would need to be dependent on faults being generated on particular interfaces to indicate input/output/CRC errors. If those faults are never generated/customer does not see them/customer does not have syslog enabled to see faults, then these errors will continuously increment and can lead to large problems down the road if not caught early.

Conditions:
Running ACI software
