Cisco Bug: CSCvi16121 - Unexpected Reboots of Servers outside of associated Server pool on Change

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Computing System

Known Affected Releases

3.2(1d)A 3.2(1d)B 3.2(1d)C

Description (partial)

Symptom:
This bug can only happen under very specific use case. (Please see conditions section to learn more).

The server is rebooted and service profile is re-associated when there is a configuration change for a service profile bound to an updating service profile template that has a server pool assigned. This happens when the server assigned to the service profile is not part of the server pool.

Conditions:
The service profile is bound to a service profile template which has a server pool. The user assigns the service profile to a server that is not in the server pool. This is ok, but once any other configuration change is made the service profile is re-associated with a server in the pool. Due to this there is a server reboot for previously assigned server and for the new server once assigned
