Description (partial)

Traffic drops to 50% upon switchover when there are multiple core facing SVIs configured.
After switchover, the standby becomes active but traffic drops by 50%

This is observed when the switch has core facing SVIs. Also "graceful-restart" is not configured
for BGP and/or LDP. And OSPF not configured with "nsf/nsr"
Under such conditions, when a switchover happens and standby supervisor becomes active
traffic drops by 50%.
