Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:
For the 88xx phones that support KEM the number of Line buttons on configuration page increases from 5 to 10 after upgrade from CUCM version that does not support 88xx phone "Enhanced Line Mode" to a version that does.
This works well for "Enhanced Line Mode".
When the Line Mode is set to "Session Line Mode" the phone configuration still shows 10 buttons that are configured for the physical 88xx phone although there are really only 5 available.

For 88xx phones that support KEM, the first Key Expansion Module button starts on button 11.
So the CUCM Administration web page for Device > Phone on the left side under the Association - "Modify Button Items" button the following text is always between numbers 10 and 11:
---------- Add On Module(s) ----------

It cannot be changed by applying a new Phone Button Template or by trying to Modify the Button Items.
There are 5 Lines, Lines 6 to 10, which can be configured but do NOT apply to any physical key on the 88xx phone nor the 8800 KEM.

Additionally, for the 88xx phones that do NOT support KEM the number of Line buttons on configuration page also increases from 5 to 10 after upgrade from CUCM 9.x to 11.x.
There are 5 extra Lines, Lines 6 to 10, which can be configured but do NOT apply to any physical key on the 88xx phone when set to "Session Line Mode".

Conditions:
Upgrade from a CUCM version that has 5 Lines when the 88xx Line Mode is set to "Session Line Mode" to a version of CUCM that has 10 Lines.
