Description (partial)

Symptom:
A Profinet enabled IE Switch may crash and reload or give out a traceback when an Ethernet interface is connected to a PROFINET field devices and interface level security features are enabled that rely on tracking of MAC Addresses of connected device.

Conditions:
Software condition : Known to occur on IE release(s): 15.2(2)E, 152-4.EA1, 15.2(5)E, 15.2(5)E2c, 15.2(6)E0a, 15.2(6)E1 
Hardware models impacted: IE2000, IE4000, IE4010 and IE5000 
 
This symptom is observed when all the following below conditions are met on the device : 
1) PROFINET is enabled on the IE Switch. 
2) IE switch PROFINET status is in "connected" state 
3) One of the following features are configured on an interface to secure a connected Profinet Device 
        (a) Port Security 
        (b) IEEE 802.1x MAC address based / MAB Authentication 
        (c) Static MAC address learning
