Last Modified

Jun 27, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

5.0.0.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Route Consistency Checker RCC throws error about Next Hop Interface Mismatch for Subscriber over Sub Interface.

Example

Wed Jan 10 09:04:03 2018: VRF "Red", Prefix 5.198.17.115/32
Next Hop Interface Mismatch: FIB ifhandle 0x3220, IPv4 RIB ifhandle 0x2ea0
 FIB ver 0, IPv4 RIB version 0
 Seen on nodes: 0/RP0/CPU0 0/RP1/CPU0 0/8/CPU0 0/4/CPU0 0/9/CPU0 0/3/CPU0 0/5/CPU0

But when you compare 'show rib <prefix> detail' vs 'show cef <prefix> detail' all nexthop interface details seem to be in sync.

Conditions:
This is platform independant issue, that should be seen since Subscriber and RCC features have been available.

This happens in case of Subscriber over a sub-interface, such as VLAN over bundle
