Cisco Bug: CSCvi04713 - [ENH] Add category newly seen domain

Last Modified

Feb 21, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Email Security Appliance

Known Affected Releases

11.0.0-115

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Receiving links by Email to unclassified, neutral, new domains is used by a lot of advanced SPAM / phishing. Such links would be probably sink-holed by Cisco Umbrella if user tries to open them (as we are blocking newly seen domains in our policies in Umbrella), but it can always happen that end-point is for whatever reason unprotected.

Conditions:
This option would give us an opportunity to warn the users that email received is highly suspicious and should not click on the link without second thought.
Bug details contain sensitive information and therefore require a Cisco.com account to be viewed.
