Cisco Bug: CSCvi00904 - LDP keeps the interface IP in the local DB even after the address removal

Last Modified

Aug 14, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

6.0.2.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Lets say we have one IP "X" under Loopback0 and some tunnels are using loopback0 as unnumber interface, then LDP wont remove the ip address "X" from the local DB even if "X" is removed from loopback0. LDP will think that the address is still bounded to the tunnel interface so it wont send the withdrawal.

Conditions:
IP address "X" is configured on the loopback interface and the loopback is used as unnumbered interface for the tunnel interface. Later "X" was removed from loopback interface.
