Last Modified

Apr 12, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

10.5(3.10000.9)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
PCD Upgrade Task against a CUCM Cluster with IM&P Nodes doesn't allow the optimized Upgrade sequence for Least Service Impacting type Upgrade.

Conditions:
According to CCO Upgrade and Migration Guide for Cisco Unified Communications Manager and IM and Presence Service documentation, While performing a Standard Upgrade with Least Service Impacting method, after the CUCM Publisher Upgrade, one can schedule/perform all of the CUCM Subscriber node Upgrades as well as the IM&P Publisher Upgrade in parallel.

It is not possible to Specify this Run Sequence.

PCD Defaults to a Sequence where in Step 2 of the Upgrade Task, the secondary Call Processing Nodes and the IM&P Publisher will be included and this step can not be edited.
