Cisco Bug: CSCvh95594 - Enhancement request to remove Prepare Cluster for Rollback to pre 8.0 Enterprise Parameter

Last Modified

Mar 29, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

12.0(1.10000.10)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
This is an enhancement request so the symptoms field isn't really applicable.

Customers often use this parameter for upgrades and phone migration; however, they don't fully understand the parameter. The customer hits certain issues due to setting this parameter to True and eventually they open a TAC case.

The primary reason customers use this parameter is to avoid ITL issues; however, since CUCM 10.0 we have features to recover from ITL issues. The new features really make this enterprise parameter useless and more of a problem than a helpful setting.

Conditions:
Any CUCM version that has the Rollback to pre 8.0 Enterprise Parameter

Rollback to pre 8.0 Enterprise Parameter is needlessly set to True
