Cisco Bug: CSCvh95455 - DNAC // Need configurable option(s) for client related timers for SSIDs created on DNAC
Jul 17, 2020
- Cisco DNA Center
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When creating a new SSID from DNA Center (DNAC) or editing it thereafter, whether fabric or non-fabric. There needs to be a configurable option when creating/editing this SSID in Design > Network Settings > Wireless for the session and idle timeouts for a given WLAN (at a minimum). The WLC default values should be pre-populated (i.e. session timeout = 1800 seconds, user idle timeout = use global setting / 300 seconds, etc.), but the option to configure or modify these parameters should be available from the DNAC UI. For applicable WLAN(s) configurations, you should also have the ability to configure the sleeping client timer as well from the DNAC UI. For WLAN(s) that do not meet the prerequisites where the sleeping client timer would be applicable, then this option should either not be presented or greyed out with a clear explanation as to why (i.e. an "i" icon that when hovered over with the cursor explains why the sleeping client timer is not applicable for the WLAN in question). Conditions: Attempt to configure a fabric or non-fabric SSID (i.e. WLAN) from DNA Center (DNAC) 1.1 or later after navigating to Design > Network Settings > Wireless in the UI of DNAC.
