Description (partial)

Symptom:
Occasionally, CDNS on Windows will not respond to queries for an extended amount of time. This may also affect the Activity Summary logging and SNMP responses. The logs may show times of no response. These gaps in the logs can go for minutes.

Conditions:
This may happen when running Caching DNS on a Windows Server.
