Cisco Bug: CSCvh77855 - [audio] ARIB: Stereo mode switched to Dual Mono Mode unexpectedly and recovered

Known Affected Releases

V2.5.XX

Description (partial)

Symptom:
ARIB B39 Audio mode mismatch: switched from Stereo Mode to Dual Mono Mode un-expectantly and recovered when non-B39 ANC packets were present in SDI stream.

Conditions:
The MMA DSP Metadata processor can only handle a certain rate of VANC packets before dropping data from the ACR FPGA. When there are multiple VANC streams that contains additional non-B39 ARIB packets this max input rate is exceeded and desired B39 packets might be dropped. At that point the corresponding encode engine detecting a "loss of B39" condition and after 10 seconds will perform a "reversion" switch to the GUI default channel mode. This is observed by the customer as being the "incorrect channel mode" since B39 packets are in fact still present at the input.
