Description (partial)

The error seen on the phone is:

"There was a problem when applying the application dial rules to the dialed number. There are non-numeric characters in the dialed number."

The personal directory uses the Application Dial rules while the Corporate Directory doesn't so Corp Dir still works.

It is only when there are application dial-rules and you use special characters in the number of the Phone Contact the call will fail.

NOTE: The special characters used in the example below are parenthesis and a dash.

If there aren't any application dial rules, the call will work fine using the same patterns (translation patterns, route patterns, directory numbers, etc...) and the same number in the Phone Contacts on the end user page (i.e. +1(555)202-2001).
When you keep the application dial rules and remove the special characters (i.e. +15552022001) then the call will work.
