<B>Symptom:</B>
A vulnerability in the patch or Remote Package Manager (RPM) management subsystem of Cisco NX-OS Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to overwrite sensitive image files on disk.

The vulnerability is due to insecure directory permissions. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to the device and using the a CLI command to overwrite
specific files on disk. An exploit could allow the attacker to impact the integrity of the file system. The attacker needs the administrator credentials for the targeted device.

<B>Conditions:</B>
This is first fixed in software releases 7.0(3)I7(4) and 9.2(1) for Cisco Nexus 3000 Series Switches, Nexus 3500 Platform Switches and Nexus 9000 Series Switches in standalone NX-OS mode.
