Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

2.2(0.470) 2.3(0.298)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When the process gets to the page indicating click here when you see Done, and the hyperlink is clicked nothing happens within the CNA. However, after clicking the hyperlink then clicking 'Done' puts user into Safari with BYOD portal where user can continue with the process. This is due to change in behavior of iOS 11 CNA, where it does not allow Safari browser to be opened up using href ;;; within the CNA. However, the http://1.1.1.1 opens up in the background Safari browser where it is visible when user clicks on Done within CNA.

Conditions:
ISE 2.3+
Cisco WLC
IPHONE 7+
iOS 11.x

1.User associates to OPEN SSID
2.Apple CNA mini browser pop-up
3.User enters employee ID (ISE recognizes non guest accounts to be employee users)
4.User is asked to wait for 'Done' in the upper right corner and click the link which pops up the full Safari browser to continue with BYOD process. But clicking the hyperlink does not open Safari
6.User clicks on Done and then the Safari is moved to foreground where user can continue with the BYOD flow
(Step 6 was not necessary with prior version of iOS)
