Description (partial)

Symptom:
When you pre-dial, your phone tries to anticipate the number you are dialling by displaying matching numbers (if available) from your Placed Calls log. This is called Auto Dial. This feature doesn't work with 78xx series phone. It works with 79xx phones though.

Conditions:
Cisco IP phone 78xx (any load)

Issue with predial/Auto Dial
Hello: I have the following issue: Usually a user when try a call can do this: "When you pre-dial, your phone tries to anticipate the number you are dialing by displaying matching numbers (if available) from your Placed Calls log. This is called Auto Dial. To call a number displayed with Auto Dial, press the number, or scroll to it and go off-hook" This is not working although I can see in the placed calls directory a lot of numbers. The phones in use are 7821 and 7940 mainly. What can be the cause? ...
