Cisco Bug: CSCuw53127 - Adding HAT entries using the "Add to SenderGroup" adds incorrect entry

Last Modified

Nov 12, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco Email Security Appliance

Known Affected Releases

8.5.7-000 9.1.0-000 9.6.0-000 9.7.0-000

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When maintaining and reviewing sending domain information you have the capability of add or reclassifying a domain into a SenderGroup via the GUI. When you add a domain by this method it adds both the (domain) and (.domain.com). The domain entry without the very minimum of a proceeding dot (acting as the wildcard) will never allow the sending server domain name to be classified correctly.

Conditions:
This occurs only when adding or reclassifying domains into a SenderGroup via the GUI under the reports page.
Bug details contain sensitive information and therefore require a Cisco.com account to be viewed.
