Cisco Bug: CSCuw48564 - Misleading message and doesn't delete the PSK key when mesh in EAP

Last Modified

Aug 11, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

8.2(1.87)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When mesh security is EAP, click ?Delete PSK ?, message "Mesh security mode should be in PSK for this configuration? popped up.

This message is new on 8.2.1.87. When EAP, it's allowed to clean the PSK key to clean up stranded MAP.

There are two issues:
The message is misleading for that customer thought it cannot be used for EAP case.
The delete function is not working to remove the PSK key on the MAP.

Conditions:
Delete PSK while EAP mode
