Cisco Bug: CSCuw47066 - Enhance PnP logging to allow logging per device

Last Modified

May 05, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco Application Deployment Engine

Known Affected Releases

3.32B(2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The NCS allows PnP logging configuration to be enabled or disabled with the following configuration:
admin@ncs-sm% set pnp logging ?
Possible completions:
  directory disabled enabled

The above PnP logging configuration is system wide and affect all PnP devices.

Since PnP logging operations is comparatively I/O intensive, and affect the performance of the embedded PnP server adversely when there are a lot of PnP devices (more than 100), it would be better if PnP logging can be enabled per device.

Conditions:
PnP logging.
