Cisco Bug: CSCuw47037 - ESC parses day0 config with !#### comment line incorrectly

Last Modified

Oct 14, 2015

Products (1)

  • Cisco Application Deployment Engine

Known Affected Releases

3.32B(2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
For ASAv day0 config lines that looks like the following:
!####_DAY0_LOGGING
logging enable
logging buffer-size 256000
logging monitor debugging
logging buffered debugging

After parsing by ESC, the config lines become like the following:
!logging enable
logging buffer-size 256000
logging monitor debugging
logging buffered debugging

The incorrect parsing resulted in the ESC putting the ! character in front of the 'logging enable' command, effectively commenting out the config line, as ASAv ignore any config line prefix with the ! character. The result is that after the ASAv VNF is spin up by ESC, the day0 running-config of the ASAv is different from that which the NCS has provided.

Conditions:
Day0 config on that ESC provided VNF.
