Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptoms:
A vulnerability in Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) of the Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)
could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to change the encapsulation for the infrastructure Virtual Local Area
Network (VLAN) which could cause a traffic disruption.

The vulnerability is due to lack of proper input validation when the LLDP encapsulation changes. An attacker could exploit
this vulnerability by spoofing LLDP on the adjacent Layer 2 (L2) VLAN and changing the LLDP encapsulation type. An exploit
could allow the attacker to cause a partial denial of service (DoS) condition due to traffic disruption on the adjacent L2 VLAN.

Conditions:
Device running with default configuration running an affected version of software.
