Symptom: A vulnerability in Secure Shell (SSH) key handling for user accounts in the Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) could allow an authenticated, local attacker to escalate their privilege level. The vulnerability is due to improper validation of the SSH key adding by the local user to their account. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to the device and adding a SSH key to their local account. An exploit could allow the attacker to escalate their privilege level on the local shell to perform unauthorized actions. Conditions: Device running with default configuration running an affected version of software.
