Description (partial)

Symptom:
An ISR-G2 may crash and reload unexpectedly 7 weeks after NBAR is enabled. The "show version" output will report the following reset reason:

"Error - a Software forced crash, PC 0xXXXXXXX"

The crash file will contain CPU HOGs w/tracebacks on "NBAR timer tick task" such as:

Mmm dd hh:mm:ss: %SYS-3-CPUHOG: Task is running for (xxxxx)msecs, more than (2000)msecs (yyyy/zz),process = NBAR timer tick task.

Conditions:
NBAR (Protocol Discovery, MQC, etc...) must be configured, an internal timer will trigger the software failure approximately 7 weeks after this feature has been configured.

2016年5月17日(初版) TAC SR Collection 主な問題 NBAR が有効になっているルータが起動からおよそ 7週間稼動したあとに再起動する事象が報告されています。本事象が発生すると、再起動前に以下のメッセージが出力されます。 %SYS-3-CPUHOG: Task is running for (xxxxx)msecs, more than (2000)msecs (yyyy/zz),process = NBAR timer tick task. 原因  この問題は <key>CSCuw40623</key> として報告されております。 解決策 この問題は NBAR を無効化することによって回避可能です。 show ip nbar resources flow コマンドで以下のメッセージが表示されれば、NBAR は無効状態です。 % NBAR Error: NBAR has not been activated <key>CSCuw40623</key> は15.5(3)M のみで発生する事象で、15.5(3)M1 以降で修正されています。 15.5(3)M 以外の IOS を使用することで回避可能です。
