Description (partial)

Symptom:
When trying to download the VSM GUI, from the home page, the end user gets a  message that the Jnlp-file cannot be retrieved from the VSM server. 
In order to resolve this, the VSM server itself needs to be restarted

Conditions:
A VSM running on CentOS7 will stop responding on JNLP retrieval requests after 10 days. 
A VSM running on Windows will stop responding on JNLP retrieval requests after one week and when a clean-up of the temporary files is triggered hereafter as well.
