  • Cisco Nexus 1000V Switch

Known Affected Releases

5.2(1)SV3(1.4)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When doing a copy core, the syntax shows:
N1K-140# copy core:?
  core: Enter URL "core://<module-number>/<process-id>[/instance-num]"

But that doesn't work:

N1K-140# show core
Module Instance Process-name PID Date(Year-Month-Day Time)
------ -------- --------------- -------- -------------------------
0 1 config 3244 2015-09-16 19:19:08
0 1 config 19776 2015-09-16 19:19:08
N1K-140# copy core:?
  core: Enter URL "core://<module-number>/<process-id>[/instance-num]"

N1K-140# copy core://0/3244 bootflash:
Not a valid module number

But using Instance works:
N1K-140# show core
Module Instance Process-name PID Date(Year-Month-Day Time)
------ -------- --------------- -------- -------------------------
0 1 config 3244 2015-09-16 19:19:08
0 1 config 19776 2015-09-16 19:19:08
N1K-140# copy core://1/3244 bootflash:
Copy complete, now saving to disk (please wait)...
