Last Modified

Feb 22, 2018

Products (2)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager IM & Presence Service
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager IM and Presence Service Version 10.5

Known Affected Releases

10.5(1) 10.5(2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Load Balancing Configuration for Redundancy for SIP Federation Chapter of the Interdomain Federation for IM and Presence on Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 10.5 does not outline specific certificate requirements.

While the certificates required between the Load Balancer and the ASA are responsibility of the ASA / Load Balancing configuration, certificates that are required between IM&P Nodes and the Load Balancer should be outlined in this document.

Conditions:
Under the header, "Security Certificate Configuration Between the Load Balancer and IM and Presence Service Node", there is a table that lists "Generate a CA-signed certificate on both the publisher and subscriber nodes."

There is not a specific listing of the certificates that would be required to be signed between IM&P and the Load Balancer.

In the chapter that outlines certificate requirements, the configuration between ASA and IM&P is outlined.
