Description (partial)

Symptom:
CUSP loses the TCP socket connection to the VXML GW and will remain stuck for around 10 minutes re-transmitting 15 times to a dead socket lost in the network. Then it will send a SYN back and open a new one.
VXML sends only 4 keepalives of 60 sec each and the socket is vanish.

Conditions:
When CUSP and VXML GW socket is lost in the metroethernet network due to a glitch or problem, the sniffers clearly shows VXML GW sending 4 Keepalives (60 sec each) for that port and then the socket vanishes. On the other side, CUSP keeps trying on that port for 15 times (10 min+) re-transmitting an ACK and then vanishes too with no RST or FIN, nothing on either side as the socket was lost in the network itself, neither device can communicate on that socket anymore. CUSP just sends a SYN for a new socket and calls start again.
