Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

4.3.4.ROUT

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Getting below error messages

RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:Feb 20 07:42:29.000 : statsd_manager_g[1131]: %MGBL-IFSTATS-4-COLLECTOR_TIMEOUT : A stats collector has timed out during a request: Node 0/0/CPU0, PID 462942
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:Feb 20 07:46:09.000 : statsd_manager_g[1131]: %MGBL-IFSTATS-4-COLLECTOR_TIMEOUT : A stats collector has timed out during a request: Node 0/3/CPU0, PID 462942

Conditions:
with very large scale, subscriber churn is happening and at same time we execute command "show l2vpn.. ", we see time out. In code, these codepaths do share a mutex lock.If subscriber delete/create path acquires mutex first
Then ?show l2vpn ..? cli might have to wait until the other thread releases the lock which introduces
Latency potentially resulting in this timeout.
