Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Customer reported that 8945 SIP does not display video on an incoming call from an Avaya phone.
Customer tested with SCCP and both video and audio streams were working properly.

The sequence of events is as follows:
 1. User places a call from the Avaya phone to the 8945 SIP phone.
 2. Initially, the call is established in audio-only mode and no video.
 3. User then presses a button on the Avaya phone to initiate a video session as well.
 4. After the audio/video codec renegotiation, the 8945 can display video sent by the Avaya phone. However, the Avaya phone does not receive video from the 8945.

The problem can be resolved by HOLDING and RESUMING the call on the 8945. Once that is done, both the Avaya and 8945 SIP phone have video and audio working.

Conditions:
Avaya phone ⋼ Avaya SIP Server ⋼ SIP ⋼ CUCM (10.5.2) ⋼ 8945 (9-4-2-8, 9.4(2)ES8)
