Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

10.0(1.10000.24) 10.5(1.10000.7) 10.5(2.10000.5) 11.0(1.10000.10) 8.5(1.10000.26) 8.6(2.10000.30) 9.1(1.10000.11) 9.1(2.10000.28)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
1) When listing MTP calls on CUCM (show media streams) , we see old calls
2) Associated processes of the call - Cdcc, MTPInterface, MediaExchange getting Stuck
3) MTP Resources getting stuck without being deallocated

Conditions:
when A calls B through a SIP Trunk (With MTP Check Enabled), MTP is being allocated for this call due to DTMF mismatch. when B redirects this call to C, the same MTP is used for this call also. When this redirection fails, Cdcc is unable to restore the call back to the original call (Between A to B), resulting in process leak (Cdcc, MTPInterfaces, MediaExchanges associated to the original call) and also the associated MTP resources were not being released
