Cisco Bug: CSCuw22853 - Clarification on PID column name In SNTC 3.x

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Network Level Service

Known Affected Releases

3.100(8)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Customers are getting confused with the PID column name.

For example:

Entitled Company :SENSIS PTY LTD
Inventory: SENSIS Network

In Contract Management Report of SNTC 3.x , Column "F" of Covered Sheet is showing PCE/COLLECTED PID under the column name : 'Product ID' and validate Pid is shown under Column "P" with column name :'Contract PID' but most of them are thinking validated pid is coming under column name:Product ID . So it would be better if we clearly mention the PID Column name .
Instead of column name : 'Product ID' we can clearly mention it as PCE/COLLECTED PID so that customer can clearly understand without any confusion.

In customer inventory report we have a column named PID. It need to be explicit as to which PID (among PCE PID/ Contract PID/ etc) is being referred here. The same fix need to apply to All-equipment, and ALL other reports that mentioned just PID, without any explicit reference.

The PID renaming need to be applied across ALL smart reports to avoid customer confusions, assumptions, and misinterpretations. As a thumb rule, wherever PID referred in smart tables or reports (online&offline) all those references need to be explicit (PCE PID/ Collected PID/ Contract PID/ etc) in all areas of the portal.
