Cisco Bug: CSCut59679 - Modify output of sh run-config, to reduce duplicate info on APs

Last Modified

May 04, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When the output of sh run is captured, it shows the AP general config as many times as the AP has radio slots

this means that for the typical use case of AP with 2 radios (11b/11a), you end with duplicate information, which amounts to approximately 5K per AP

The proposal would be to show the AP general config once, then followed by each slot information, without duplicated info

For a large deployment, this can easily save 2.5 to 5 MB of unneeded data on the output, plus reduce errors on the capture
