Cisco Bug: CSCut58680 - Support for BLF Presence notify on DX endpoints over Edge

Last Modified

May 16, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

10.5(2.12012.1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:The BLF Presence NOTIFY messages for endpoints registered on-prem are sent directly. When registered over edge, the NOTIFY messages would be sent through Expressway-C and E combination. Expressway-C uses orig-hostport to map the out-of-dialog messages to right devices, as the TCP/TLS connection between the Expressway-C and CUCM is a single pipe.

The orig-hostport information is initially sent in the REGISTER message to CUCM

This enhancement ensures that the Out-of-dialog Presence NOTIFY message sent for BLF presence has right information in ReqURI header of the message.

Conditions:BLF presence notifications for DX endpoints (650, 70 and 80) will not work.
