Cisco Bug: CSCut56282 - AnyConnect iPhone: On-Demand domains cannot be updated via Profile

Last Modified

Feb 14, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client

Known Affected Releases

3.0(12119)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When AnyConnect connects for the first time, and say the profile is pushed with 3 On-demand domain-names, everything works as expected.
Now the Client profile is updated on the ASA with one more Connect if Needed domain-name for example. And the client is manually made to connect to the ASA to download the new profile.
We can see in the downloaded profile that the new domain-name exists, however under:
 AnyConnect GUI ->  Connections -> "Connection-name" -> Advanced -> Domain-list
  .. only the first 3 domain-names show up. The 4th one, although can be seen in the profile, is not updated in the Domain-list.

This bug has been fixed. Any On-demand domain-name updating from ASA will be correctly shown on the app UI.

Conditions:
ASA acting as SSLVPN Server for AnyConnect on Apple iPhones with iOS 8.x [tested on iOS 8.2].
AnyConnect app ver 3.0.12119.
Here, ASA pushes a client profile to the iPhones with On-demand domains configured in them.
