Cisco Bug: CSCut51622 - Enhancement to disallow commit of class-map missing ACL

Last Modified

Jan 14, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

5.3.0.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Current behavior allows you to create a class-map that references an ACL that does not exist. You can also create a policy map referencing that class-map, however when you try to attach this policy to an interface, you get the following error. 'ipv4-acl' detected the 'warning' condition 'Attaching access-list that is not defined yet'

Conditions:
Customer implements large numbers of class-maps and ACLs as part of normal operational procedures and it is not clear which ACL/class-map is actually causing the warning above.
