Cisco Bug: CSCut47929 - 3900 - show interface output reports incorrect bandwidth

Last Modified

Feb 02, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco 3900 Series Integrated Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

15.5(1)T

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Router may show link BW as 100000 Kbit/sec (100Mbps) in show interfaces output even though the link is negotiated as 1Gbps.

---
Hardware is PQ3_TSEC, address is e05f.b926.1301 (bia e05f.b926.1301)
  MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit/sec, DLY 10 usec,
Full Duplex, 1Gbps, media type is LX
---

Conditions:
Interface media-type was set to rj45 earlier with speed 100.

After changing the media-type to 'sfp' the link speed is updated but the bandwidth/delay values are not and result in the old value being kept.
