Cisco Bug: CSCut41444 - Free up loop devices on install failures..
May 28, 2017
- Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Cisco ACI APIC may not properly upgrade. loop devices can be seen on teh apic via a "df -h": /firmware/fwrepos/fwrepo/aci-apic-dk184.108.40.206j.bin 32G 4.0K 32G 1% /tmp/tmpKxDTnE /tmp/tmpKxDTnE/images/install.img 32G 4.0K 32G 1% /tmp/tmp63H3LF /firmware/fwrepos/fwrepo/aci-apic-dk220.127.116.11j.bin 32G 4.0K 32G 1% /tmp/tmptZik4b /tmp/tmptZik4b/images/install.img 32G 4.0K 32G 1% /tmp/tmpxUTlM7 /firmware/fwrepos/fwrepo/aci-apic-dk18.104.22.168j.bin 32G 4.0K 32G 1% /tmp/tmpa6m403 /tmp/tmpa6m403/images/install.img 32G 4.0K 32G 1% /tmp/tmpW2sDNh /firmware/fwrepos/fwrepo/aci-apic-dk22.214.171.124j.bin 32G 4.0K 32G 1% /tmp/tmpSKCSs7 /tmp/tmpSKCSs7/images/install.img 32G 4.0K 32G 1% /tmp/tmpbFs1Ov In some cases, attempting to manually detach the loop devices via root with command " losetup -d /dev/loop#" will fail. Conditions: A Cisco APIC during upgrade operation may fail. When this occurs, a fault (fltMaintUpgJobUpgradeFailed - F0105) will be generated. This may occur if there was a previous upgrade attempt and error (for example if the apic iso was corrupted).
