Description (partial)

When using an HWIC in a router for authenticating endpoints to ISE using 802.1x, the HWIC port will lose connectivity to everything outside of the local subnet when the 802.1x process completes. As a result, customers cannot use the HWIC for authenticating endpoints.

This has been confirmed on an EHWIC-4ESG-P in a 1921 running 15.4(3)M1 or IOS 15.3.3(M4). Other HWICs running in other platforms on other IOS versions may be vulnerable as well. That can be neither confirmed or denied at this point.
