Cisco Bug: CSCut21985 - Enhancement: Proactively Reload Standby PRE at 2AM if IRAM Parity Errors are Detected
Feb 08, 2019
- Cisco uBR10000 Series Universal Broadband Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: In Cisco 10k routers with dual PRE engines, if an IRAM parity error has occurred on the standby engine, it can lead to an unpredictable state if there were to be a failover to it, leading to a likely total outage of the device. This bug is an enhancement to periodically check for this condition and automatically reload the standby PRE if affected. This will occur at 2AM local time based on the system clock. Conditions: An IRAM parity error has occurred on the standby PRE, leaving it in an unpredictable and unreliable state until it's reloaded.
