Cisco Bug: CSCut14992 - nrcmd case blind string filters do not always work

Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

8.3

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Expanding filtering options to include case exact search for strings using the <attribute>=|<value> syntax does not always work correctly.

Conditions:
There are two conditions under which this fails:
<pre>
1) nrcmd often lower cases the first filter argument during its processing
and
2) when the attribute specified is a key attribute, ccmsrv is not able to support this because it uses case blind sort order for its data.
</pre>
