Description (partial)

There are periodic leap second events which can add or delete a second to global time.

Cisco Prime IP Express (CPIPE) product does not have an issue with leap seconds. However, the appliance / virtual appliance (OVF) uses a version of CentOS that does have leap second issues. Customers should check the operating system they are using for CPIPE (whether installed via the OVF or otherwise) and are highly encouraged to update their operating system if it is impacted by leap second issues. The CentOS operating system shipped with CPIPE (8.2) is impacted by the leap second issue.

A new OVA will be packaged and made available as part of the 8.3 release in April 2015.

The leap second update will be propagated via Network Time Protocol (NTP) or via manually setting the clock.
