Cisco Bug: CSCut07013 - CSM incorrectly checks the liveness of the ASA if 'running OS' is blank
Nov 11, 2016
- Cisco Security Manager
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: If the 'Running OS Version' field under the Operating System frame of General tab under Device Properties is blank then everything else works fine except packet tracer. Running the packet tracer causes the CSM to incorrectly check for the device liveness using this field and if the field is blank then CSM considers the ASA to be dead. Conditions: Try to run packet tracer for an ASA on CSM with blank 'Running OS Version' field.
