Cisco Bug: CSCut05383 - Portal Servers consuming connections on NCS

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Application Deployment Engine

Known Affected Releases

3.3

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Ran the Show Users command while in the ncs_cli mode of the Nuess NCS Server.

Ran the same show users command to see the user connections increasing from the web portals.

We checked the web portal servers and found a large amount of MongoDB connections increasing .

It seems to be related to the Stats and Events servers on the Web Portals. When the Stats/Events servers were terminated on the Web Portals this behavior ended.

Conditions:
During testing the Nuess NCS server was unstable. We had been getting logged out of the NCS_CLI every 20-30 minutes. While investigating this issue I noticed the user counts increasing.
