Cisco Bug: CSCut02449 - Modems can't get back to online after MD new mac address configured
Jan 30, 2017
- Cisco cBR Series Converged Broadband Routers
Known Affected Releases
Doesn't work with dynamic configuration of a mac-address on a mac-domain. Symptom: Doesn't work with dynamic configuration of a mac-address on a mac-domain. When configure a new 'valid' mac-address on a mac-domain (e.g. interface cable 3/0/0), although this new address was configured and shown correctly for this mac-domain it will take all modems on this mac-domain offline then stay in 'init'/'offline' sequence. At this time, if un-configure this new mac-address (restore original mac-address) via 'no mac-address H.H.H' then modems will come back again (some may need 'cli reset/delete'). Conditions: Problem is only seen when manual CLI configure (change) a new mac-address on a mac-domain with w-online modems.
