Last Modified

Feb 08, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

7.2(0)ZN(0.36)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Default route will not be withdrawn from vpnv4 table.

Conditions:
Multiple [no] default-originate command toggles being configured in addess-family vpnv4. More especifically, the following steps are the minimum required to hit the issue considering the vpnv4 unicast address-family is clean of any configurations:

1. default-information originate always rd <rd> route-target <rt>
2. no default-information originate always rd <rd> route-target <rt>
3. default-information originate always rd <rd> route-target <rt>
4. no default-information originate always rd <rd> route-target <rt>

Step 3 must be executed quickly after number 2. In this case, after executing step 4, the issue will be seen.
